Delete all comments by user

I've done a search, but this doesn't appear under "spam" anywhere.

How can I delete all comments made by a specific user? I've gotten hit by a ton of spam, and will install the captcha, but for now need to get rid of it. I would have thought that maybe this would be accessible when I clicked on the Users admin, or maybe the Stories admin, but I don't see anything.

There's a Mass Delete Comments option in the Spam-X plugin just for that case.

It doesn't filter by user, though, but by content. Since it's spam, you should be able to find a few spammy keywords or phrases that you can feed to Spam-X first. Then use that option to get rid of the comments.

I tried that, and it didn't find anything. Maybe because it's all in Italian... :http://www.ai-tools.org/comment.php?mode=view&cid=24

Is there no way to delete by user?

Ugh. xoomer.alice.it - I have had this in every blacklist on all of my sites for years now.

Does that not work? Add it to the personal blacklist.

Hmmm. I added "xoomer.alice.it" to the personal blacklist and tried "Mass Delete" and it said it found nothing.

Then I thought maybe it was looking for links that exactly matched the entry in the black list, so I added a regular expression one: ".*xoomer.*"

I then ran Mass Delete again but it still found no comments.

Hmm, that should work (the simple form, that is). The only thing that I'm aware of that's not working is a Mass Delete by IP address - that was only fixed in 1.4.1.

You did add "xoomer.alice.it" to the "Personal Blacklist", didn't you?
