When a user goes to contribute and they are not logged in they get a login / Create account if they choose to login they get this
You may have mistyped your login credentials. Please try logging in again below.

My problem is I disabled the USER Functions Block so cannot login anywhere else.

Then you really mistyped your password or username. If all else fails, use the "forgot password" option.

That's the standard text on that page. But now you have a form to log in with - isn't that what you were after?

If the text bothers you, you can also use http://www.example.com/admin/moderation.php (or any other of the admin pages).

So use the admin pages to log in.

Which Geeklog version is that? I seem to remember that we had a bug there but can't find it in the changelog right now ...

You may want to try reading my earlier posts ...

I seem to remember running into that problem (i.e. login via users.php just brought you back to the front page) some time during the 1.4.1 development. But I'm sure it's fixed in 1.4.1b2.

Are you using an earlier version of lib-custom.php and/or some custom registration code? Still can't find the exact change, but I think it was related to how users.php and the sample code in lib-custom.php interacted.

bye, Dirk

Version 1.4.1 b2
and yes there is custom code for the CAPTCH hack bt M.Evans but the site is brand new no upgrades so its a clean install.
Found the Admin login page and have enabled User Functions block until this is sorted out. Thanks for your help

My 1.4.1b2 works as Dirk describes. It must have something to do with with the CAPTCHA code.
