More on Comment Spam

Geeklog is working great by the way.
With the SpamX plugin I haven't seen comment spam in a while. In fact today I was looking at the GUS Stats fromt he GUS plugin and noticed one anonymous user hit comment.php 8 times. This made me suspicious since I didn't see any comments. So that made me think to look at SpamX and low and behold there were a bunch of entires in the log file which blacklisted and deleted comments.
Now I have an IP address to go with the comment spammer. What to do with that IP address I don't know.
Point here is that it works. Good job folks!

Do a whois lookup. You could complain to their ISP (info can be found in the whois). But beware, they may be using an open proxy or a hijacked PC ...
