I think it's about time that GL caught up to speed with other portal systems. I would like to see a configuration page that will automatically change your config.php settings.

try Tom's admin toolbox. it will modify your config and more right from your "glui" -- new word for the day, "GLUI"

As pointed out earlier, I guess the main reason why you don´t want config.php to be changeable through the Gui is because this drasticly increases security risks
