featured article in static page

Hello, I couldn\'t find an answer to this in the forums... What I\'m looking to do is use the new Static Page features of 1.3.8, where a static page can be the \"index\" or welcome page, but then I would like to include the one \"featured story\" or latest article, but not any of the older stories, on that page. Any tips on what code to pop in there (I\'ve tried using bits from featured story.thtml etc.). Is this possible? Thanks!

When a static page is set up to take over the index page, it has to return the complete HTML for the index page. So you would have to add the code that pulls the featured or latest story to the static pages\' functions.inc (function plugin_centerblock_staticpages()). bye, Dirk
