:banghead: After all the problems and help trying to install Geeklog, and failing, I find GoDaddy has it available on their server and I installed it.

One problem. "admin" and "password" won't let me in.

Any ideas?????? :banghead:

So how many more times are you going to ask that question before you start reading one of the earlier answers?

I believe your answer is irevelant as the game has started over. Geeklog installed from GoDaddys server. The quoted path does not matter.

http://melendy-mi.us/geeklog/public_html/ - Got to site

As a user I can register, make a post and a copy is sent by email to me. Go ahead and try it.

There is no option to log in as administrator.

Thanks , Dirk :shakehands:

Update!
Okay, I got to the admin screen. Big Grin

I tried:
Admin password
ADMIN password
Administrator password
ADMINISTRATOR password
and a few other combos

I either don't have it right yet, have another problem :banghead: :banghead: or I have given out to much info and someone else has logged in and changed it. Evil

Confused: Confused: Confused: Confused: Confused:

Since you used Godaddy's install script, you set your password. It doesn't use the default. There is a screen that asked you to enter an admin password before it ran the install script.

Dirk's post specifies "admin" all lowercase.

Did it? Technically, it's "Admin", with an uppercase 'A' and I usually spell it like that. However, usernames aren't case-sensitive in the login so it doesn't really matter.

The main problem here, of course, is with the reading comprehension of our friend rob62 :speechless:

bye, Dirk

I got it working. Being a newbie I had a lot of learning to do.

Thank you everyone for your help.:shakehands:

Now, back to more learning. Rolling Eyes
