All of a suddon my site stoped working and started displaying only "An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details."

The log shows: Thu Jun 15 14:50:41 2006 - 1016: Can't open file: 'gl_stories.MYI' (errno: 145). SQL in question: SELECT count(*) as count FROM gl_stories WHERE featured = 1

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks

Your database is corrupted. Try repairing the gl_stories table (phpMyAdmin has an option to do that).

bye, Dirk

Miznut,

Dirk's supposition in my case was the DB tables were corrupted as MySQL was being restarted. I had this happen to one of my sites two days in a row. Last night I checked and the hours MySQL was up and running correspond to the time I figure my site was down.
