Hi,
I want to allow Google Ad script inside a story (so I can associate particular channels with particular stories that get lots of traffic).
I was able to add the "script" tag to allowed html in config.php, but what do I do to allow the google_ad_ tags?
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
google_ad_format = "728x90_as";
google_ad_type = "text";
google_ad_channel ="9766584858";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>
Any ideas much appreciated!

I would blank out your publisher's code, if I were you.

Geeklog also removed HTML comments, so everything between <!-- and --> will be removed. Those aren't really needed anyway (they are only there for compatibility with old browsers).
And, for the record, the google_ad_... aren't tags or attributes but JavaScript variables.
bye, Dirk

I must be dense, but I don't quite get what to do -- what do you mean by block out publishers code.

This is your publishers code:
google_ad_client = "pub-7865386318405694";
Dutch Geeklog sites about camping/hiking:
www.kampeerzaken.nl | www.campersite.nl | www.caravans.nl | www.caravans.net
google_ad_client = "pub-7865386318405694";

Inside your story? Putting it in a block would probably be better, if I understand what you want to do.
http://www.pigstye.net/gplugs/article.php/20031004011831173
That page tells you how to make an ad block, and you can see it in action a bit down the page.

I think I did it by inserting the code directly into the database in mysql. This allows you to not have to change any of the geek code...

I am using blocks for topic channels. but I have certain individual stories that get enough traffic to justify a channel. So maybe I will insert directly in the db as suggested below.
