I've been a happy customer of Webscorpino http://www.webscorpion.com for many years. At one time I had 3 Geeklogs with them.. In any case they have been good to me!

I used to have 10 sites with powweb but due to some of their problems that they refuse to take responsibility for I am down to 2 site with them. I would not recommend them, they will change their server configuration (to make it more reliable, then it will be very very unstable for months) without notifying you then say it's your responsibility to update your site to work with their new configuration.

I am using several others right now (for over a year I guess) trying to evaluate, I think I am liking anhosts.com the best, but I haven't really needed any real tech support (which is probably why I like them best), so I don't know how good/bad their support is. Oh yeah one time I called them to see if imageMagick was installed, they put me on directly with a tech who installed it right there when I was on the phone, I really liked that.

But all that being said I used to really like powweb as well, I guess over time any company will change. I do like the fact they have a dedicated irc channel, for users to get help, and their forums are pretty useful. But the problem is their servers change so often that you will need to use the forums and chat to fix your site a couple times a year. (Really stupid, hard to figure out, and annoying things like changing the way geeklog handles portalblocks).
Yes I am mental.

I got so sick of all my hosts I got a box at a server farm and started my own.

Now I even have a domain where others can have their site hosted but really we have not started fully and will not start advertising for a while but soon enough I will be ready to go full bore.
