The email form automatically populates with the users name for Your Name and the users email for Reply-To email. How can this be modified so the fields are blank? Thanks.

Modify the profiles/contactuserform.thtml template and remove the value="..." attributes.

But why exactly do you want to have those fields blank?

This is mail going to the user from someone viewing profile. The senders name and reply-to info is what is needed here. Also it exposes your email address. I would think the purpose of the mail me link would be to prevent your email address from being exposed unnecessarily.

Just as I suspected - you misunderstand what's happening here.

It auto-fills in your own email address, since you are the sender. And of course when you send an email to someone, you're exposing your email address (how else are they supposed to answer?). But as long as the person receiving the email doesn't respond, they are not exposing their email address.

So, within the limits of email, everything is functioning as it's supposed to.

Duh! So stupid!!!!! I was testing my own email while logged in. It picks up the logged in users info, not the profile info.

Don't I feel just dumb to death!
