How do add to the list of fields that a user is able to populate in their user profile.
The plugin API doesn’t add the appropriate fields to the database. Correct? I found this post:

Browsing the sample code and API documentaion gave me no feeling for how the API handles the field table creation. Its there a simple cut and dry way of adding new database fields/input boxes. Im new to geeklog, i've been using other CMS's but I am trying to help a friend.

If someone feels up to it, I would offer a few bucks via Paypal to send me a sample that I can use to create additional fields.

The plugin API doesn't handle adding the fields to the database, etc. - That's your job. It only provides a way to add them to the forms.

I don't know which plugins actually use that API, but you can start with this sample.
