hi,

how can i create a category and assign this category to a block?
ever i tryed to create a category this one will appear under the first block on the left site.

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to be. Categories are related to the "blog'ish" part of geeklog. They are like chapters in a book, so they appear in the index (wich is located top left by default)
What do you mean by assigning a category to a block?

Hmm... I think you are mixing two things together.
What you mean are not categories nor are these menues created by geeklog. The menue is either handmade (html) or using the menu plugin (i think that's it) and the links are leading to static pages or plugins, not to categories (in the meaning of geeklog).

Btw. are you nixdorf from the german forum? If yes, maybe we should talk there Wink

The "Resources" block is just a "normal" block with plain HTML in it.
