Hi there,

I might be missing the boat completely here, but let me tell you what I've got.

I've just started with geeklog and I've been setting up my site. One this I make use of in the Static Pages plugin....

I've created some static pages and from what I can tell from the docs, they should now be in a block on all my pages.

This isn't happening. I've tried with several themes (3rd party ones too) to see if each theme is missing something. Still nothing.

They work when you have them as a Center Block, but I dont need them there.

There is nothing in the Admin->Blocks for the location of a static block.

There are no downloadable blocks that do this that i could find.

Have I misunderstood how this works? Is this possible?

I'm not sure where you want your blocks to appear or what you're doing, so this may be off track... but are you setting the centerblocks to appear for particular topics, and are you viewing the topic when the block appears? That is basically what they should do. Also, are you using the latest version of geeklog (1.3.9sr1)?

Cheers,

Euan.

Having static pages in the center works but i thats not what i'm aiming for.

Its my understanding that once I have static page(s) set up, there will be a side block for them -- just like Topics or User Functions etc. but nothing seems to be happening.

I'm thinking I've got something really basic wrong here. there seems to be no docs or other forums posts on this topic.

(oh, and yes, i'm using the latest version)

thanks.

No. Static pages can either stand on their own or in the center column, as a center block.

For new side blocks, create a "normal" block from the Admin's block menu.

bye, Dirk
