Weather plugin question

What is a Metar? Im not sure what it is, im trying to add a city to the weather plugin.

Metar is a 4-letter code of a certain location.
Take a look at this example here for Nassau Airport, Bahamas. The metar for Nassau is MYNN.

I got that figured out but after I enter it in the databse it still doesnt show, I tried it twice and now I get an error on my main page, think I broke my Geeklog
once I set it to another city it works fine but I cant see or choose the city I add...hmm..
