Help!

I am trying to get the forum plugin installed. Everything appears to have gone well with the main part of the installation. I unpacked the files, moved them to the appropraite locations, merged the CSS, etc. Then I went to the plugins manager in geeklog, and clicked the install, and it came back and told me that it installed sucessfully.

However, now I am trying to go in and configure a couple of forums, and I keep getting an 500 internal server error. I've double checked the permissions on the files, and don't see anything wrong there. I'm totally baffled.

Oh, the file it appears to be freezing on is the main forum index.php file -- at least that is the URL in the browser when I get the internal server error.

Any clues on where to start looking for the problem?
