hey all. I am so new to this you might as well roll your eyes now. bear with me though i tend to learn fast. I am using geeklog for the forst time and want to add a very simple image block that I can upload a picture to every day or at least point to a picture that will display in the block. I like the random pic idea but right now I want the simplest way to get a picture in a block box on the page. The same I would like to do with the calender as well. I dont know any PHP yet but it seems that is where I must turn my learning to. IS there a really simple fix until then? Thanks for your advance help

Well, the simplest idea would be to create a "normal" block (from the Admin's block menu) and just put the HTML for an image in it. Whether you upload the image manually (through ftp or whatever) or whether you're going to use an image gallery wouldn't matter then. And there would be no need for any PHP code.

Not sure what "the same" would be for the calendar, though. In case you're looking for a calendar in a block, Blaine has one on his site.

bye, Dirk
