Here is just my suggestion. If you look around on just about most popular CMS development forums you will find a question/discussion just like this one.

You can trust me on that. I used to be just like Jag. Posting in just about every forum and trying to find out if they had some script that could put the CMS Members and put their info into the forums (IP members stuff. Well after a lot of searching and trying to do it myself I decided that if none of the good CMS scripts didn’t come with it then pick the best CMS and just use their forum. Well, I ended up with Geeklog because of their security and overall features. I would just like to say that with GL being free, the best, and very secure and then if it came with an option to interrogate it with Invision PowerBoard then you would have a lot of new Geeklog users using it on their site.
