After reading some of the posts today! Wanted to say to the development team of Geeklog. Great Job!!! I discovered Geeklog doing a search on the web I was currently running Back-end. I had tried PostNuke and some Hacks but nothing I saw had the potential that I can see in Geeklog. I installed Geeklog on my home linux machine first, to test for any problems. It went online like a dream. I then went online and took everything I learned and installed on my real site. I even got fancy and did a search to find how to call a external php script into Geeklog and it worked. Now I have to edit the ccs files on that program so I can make it look like its part of Geeklog. So from the time I found Geeklog on the Internet to the time I had it up full function was 2 days that’s spending 3 hours the first and 4 hours the second while trying to watch TV with the wife HA!! Guys this is a great package and I thank you again for making it Open Source. I plan on being really active in here. I was a BBS Sysop for over 22 years and wrote all kinds of doors and utils for the packages I used. I can’t wait to get up to speed with PHP. My problem is I am a Pascal Programmer HA!! Online now and growing http://www.technoid.cc a new Geeklog site. If you are into music and love to build stuff, my site is going to be a hardware support site for people who want to build – Speakers cabs, Light effects, DMX computer interfacing etc. and the club I work at for fun!

I must agree! I tried 7 other CMS/Blog/BB systems before finally finding GL. The product rocks, the community is very helpful, and although other systems (the Nukes, phpBB, etc) may have more mods, GL seems to have the mods that I want. The latest plugin of 4Image is SOOOOOO nice. Favorite things: My favorite plugins are 4Image, Contacts and Static Pages. I look forward to the release of the Newsletter and Forum v2 plugins (with the profile extension). Wishes for GL: Having plugins for a couple of other Calendars and or bringing the included Calendar up to snuff. The ability to designate the order of Articles on pages. This would really help those of us that run information type sites as opposed to blog sites. It has been great to see the level of feedback that is given to the developers. Although there are always a few bad apples that expect everything and offer nothing in return, this community really seems to want to create the best CMS/Blogging system available via OpenSource or commercially.
