Is there a way to exclude static pages from showing up within search results? What would be even better is if there was a way to only exclude certain staticpages from the results. Any comments? Ideas?

No. The current plugin does not do this. You would need to install static pages twice under a different name and tear out the search code or hack up your current copy of static pages.

>>Is there a way to exclude static pages from showing up within search results? Yes, simply remove the two search functions from /path/to/plugins/staticpages/functions.inc. ---Danny @ squatty.com

That would exclude all static pages from the search not a subset of them.
