A website I am working for is customized and it has wrong closing html tags only when index page for admin is displayed. I have that issue after upgradeing the geeklog of the site.
So, I would modify the footer template for admin.
The question is how I can simply achive that.
Are there any way to check if the user is a member of the Root? Global variables?

Sorry, I should have posted this on support forum.

You can use the function:

Text Formatted Code
 SEC_inGroup('Root')

which will return true if in the root group.
