Try the FAQ: Unfortunately, an error has occurred rendering this page. Please try again and possibly How do I change the default theme? (the latter is somewhat out of date - those settings are in the Configuration admin panel now, but can still be overwritten by adding them to your siteconfig.php).

Just out of curiosity, did you also verify that you have all the plugins copied over from your professional theme?

Okay, in your theme directory. Do you have all the plugins from the professional directory copied over to your new theme that you are trying to get running? Also, what theme is it that you downloaded and where did you download it from? If there is a problem with it and you got it from the demo site, I need to make sure its working correctly.

It is the adeliae_en theme, I downloaded it from a link in this website,
I still don't get this below
"Do you have all the plugins from the professional directory copied over to your new theme that you are trying to get running
what and what should be in the folders? and what path?

What Michael means are theme files specific to plugins. For example, the Forum plugin comes with its own set of theme files that should go into a "forum" directory within your theme directory (e.g. professional/forum).
Did you figure out the actual error message yet? The "Unfortunately, ..." message is deliberately generic for security reasons. You should find the actual error message in the error.log file or you may have to apply some of the other tips from the FAQ entries I pointed you to (see above) to get a proper error.
