I am trying to install this plugin, it is runing on a linux box, so the path to upload files is something like:

/home/tidbit/public_html/...

I have configured everything as the instructions stated, and when i try to upload a file it states...

There are 0 files in our database...

Please advise.

There are many reports on the site about upload errors and they are always permissions, filemgmt settings, or improper installation. You may want to do a search to review some of the history.

Check the Geeklog errror.log for more details and try setting the perms on the folders needed for the repository to 777
