Trying to install the plugin "Uploads"

I am trying to install the plugin "Uploads" because i need to be able to upload PDF files to the server and link or display them on topics. When i try to install the plugin it goes in a cont. loop showing:

The Plugin is Not Installed (w/ an install button below.)

I push the install button below it displays again.

I'm not familiar with that plugin, but that sounds suspiciously like it requires register_globals = on. See if that helps.

Some old plugins only require it for the actual install, btw, so you may be able to switch it back off afterwards.
