I'm sure this is a simple setting somwhere, using chameleon template / theme, and can not find anywhere to set the links in the links section to open up in their own new window. It always opens in same window and off my site. Any suggestions?

Best would be to tell the user to use a right mouse click that he learns to do that.

Another possibility with professional theme is in the file /links/linkdetails.thtml
add a target="_blank" to the link.
