Hi, I'm looking for documentation on the user tables, including descriptions for columns. I want to write a custom logon/registration page for a web site. My idea is to read and update the Geeklog user tables from the common logon/registration page, and propagate that data to other tables belonging to other software installed on the server. I can browse the gl_user* tables in phpMyAdmin. What other tables would need to be updated for a new user, or user logon?
Thanks,
Jim

You shouldn't have to write into Geeklog's tables. There are plugin functions as well as custom callbacks when new users are created. If you hook into those, Geeklog will notify you when a new user was created, deleted, etc. and you can update your data accordingly.
We've added those for the phpBB integration (phpBBBridge, no longer maintained, unfortunately), so I think it pretty much covers everything you'll need. Have a look around lib-user.php and notice the various calls to PLG_xxx and CUSTOM_xxx functions.
bye, Dirk
