Hi there, can anybody tell be the difference between a Wiki and Geeklog? E.g. Tikiwiki?

I test installed Tikiwiki but it takes time to see the differences. It seems to offer a lot like forum, calendar etc.

First of all, Geeklog is a CMS, which is another product than a Wiki. With that said, Tikiwiki specifically is not just a Wiki but a "Wiki/CMS/Groupware written in PHP" (that's why it has a forum, a calendar, etc.). Now that it's on the same level with Geeklog, we can compare them.

Always start with the never up to date but still official as it gets CMS Matrix (sadly they don't allow direct links to comparisons - just mark Tiki and Geeklog).

Then, see each's demo site (and be kind enough to share your conclusions).

Finally, maybe you'll get lucky and someone here uses it and would be kind enough to post and compare it to Geeklog (hint: cross post this in the parallel forum - it'll also give you by itself a comparison of technical support Wink).
