I'm trying to write a plugin that will show digg, reddit, del.icio.us, etc button on stories. I had thought I would simply add them to the "Story Options" block but I can't find any plugin hooks to allow me to add things to that. IS there any plugin callback that I can use to add things to stories ?

The closest we have to an API for the story options is PLG_itemSaved, which is currently only called from the Admin's story editor. And you would have to mess around in the "related" text yourself, e.g. taking care that you don't add your link a second time when editing the story.

Alternatively, you would have to hack STORY_whatsRelated (in system/lib-story.php).
