Geeklog index.php running timeout?

Dear 'GL' Webmasters:
I am using GL 1.4.0sr5 on http://tpe4th.ldstw.info/.
It works fine without any problem for almost 4 months.
But the index.php reponses slowly(more than one minute) and causes timeout on http protocol.
The most wired thing is when you go to http://tpe4th.ldstw.info/index.php?topic=20060918021306390.
It works fine!
Could anyone teach me how to resolve this?

My geeklog has mediagallery 1.4.3a on it.
And I have a geeklog 1.4.0sr3 running as the same server on http://www.farstar.org.tw/ without any problem.

Any suggestion?

Regards,
Joel Chen

Have you changed or added anything recently? Perhaps having a video on the main page is taking to long to load, just a thought. Disable your latest installed plugin to varify and see if the main site page come back to life. If that was the problem, then look into what was causing it.

Thanks for your quick reply.

It works fine for 7 days since my last update article.
The Last updated plugin was modified 2 months ago.

Is your site hosted? Maybe the hosting company made some changes to the server. Do you have access to the database? If you do, do a check on it and see if you can check, analyze, repair, optimize, and flush the tables to see if that fixes the problems.

I tried to flush the session table.
(I have full access to my host sites.)
But it didn't help.
I remember the very last I see web is at Singapore airport on public computer.

The host company administrator is hlpe on my site.
But we still cannot find out what happen.

Okay...the only other 2 things I could think of would be to if you have a recent backup of your database, reinstall the backup and hopefully you wont loose much traffic for postings or new users. Or if you haven't done much in modifying the directory files, do an overlay but make sure you do a backup of them beforehand. Then drop your config, make the needed changes to your lib-common, and drop in your lib_custom files, plus your theme if that was changed. BUT I cannot stress enough to make a backup before you do anything...then you'll be able to go back to the way it was before you started. After that, if you still have problems...then keep asking and giving more info. What does your logs say in siteroot/logs the level before your public_html dir?
