Can't Delete Install Directory

After installation, I found an un-expected file in the Install directory. This file cannot be deleted, and so the install directory couldnot be deleted as well. Is it virus? anybody experienced the same ?
The file is:
.pureftpd-upload.4503c38a.15.113a3.d1cabe8f

A quick Google search reveals that this is apparently "normal" for the ftp client you're using and that the file is supposed to disappear automatically after a while ...
Personally, I'd recommend you switch to another ftp client.
