I need to show th userphoto in each comment!
I try with:
and it works. But If some users upload gif or png userphoto.
i need to find a way to manage photo extension

I start from your tip to make it better
in the function GET USER PHOTO you can set image width (4th parameter!!!)
In few days i upload new version of my site for showing up these hacks
Now i have smallphoto in comment and big photo in profile.
I add userphoto to messenger inbox too with a simple query

There's a force_photo_width option in config.php:
// $_CONF['force_photo_width'] = 75;
(note that you need to activate that line - it's commented out by default)
I'm using this for comments that resemble the forum's layout over on geeklog.info, e.g. here.
