I have moved the staticpages config (along with other plug-ins) outside the sites directory.

I have set the flag
PHP Formatted Code
 $_SP_CONF['allow_php'] = 1

however, the SP entry form does not show that this flag is set.

Do I need to tell anything other than
PHP Formatted Code
$_CONF['path_html'] = '/www/sdlr.org/html/';

in config.php where I have located the plugin.

All other plugins are working faultlessly.

Did you assign staticpages.PHP permissions, as explained in the documentation?
