Geeklog - Can it do...?

Hello.
I have a few quick questions which are driving me potty at the moment. I want users (Only users that I specify) to add new posts and I want theese post titles to appear in the Lowdown section of my page (www.djnation.net) And for the Viewer to click on it and then have a bigger description of that news. I also want specific users to edit their profiles.
Is this possible with Geeklog.
If so how do I go about doing it.

Give them Story Admin permissions.

Users with access to the Admin's version of the story editor can separate stories into a "teaser" and a "the rest" section.

Users can always change their own profile.
