I just upgraded to filemgmt 1.5 and everything seems to be ok, except that there are no commands or functions available in the admin section. What gives? Question

I would suggest you are not using the GL 1.4 professional theme or an theme updated for 1.4

Nope. I'm running GL 1.4 with the professional theme. I copied over the index.php file from the previous version of the filemgmt prorgam, and just stuck it into the /public_html/admin/plugins/filemgmt/index.php on a hunch, and it works fine. I did the install as directed, and had everything working except I could not see the admin functions. As soon as I copied over the index.php file, it came right up and it's working fine now. I'm sure it's not "supposed" to be that way, but it's working, so I'll try not to sneeze or anything. But, it would be nice to have a real fix. I wanted to use the filemgmt function to start using some sound files. Check it out... www.panama-guide.com

I certainly would not suggest you mix scripts from both versions.

Yeah, I know, but it seems to be working fine. That's why I'm asking the question. When I have the index.php installed from the filemgmt 1.5 it does not show me the admin functions, and by changing that one file, everything else works and now I can see the admin functions.

So, what's wrong with the index.php for version 1.5 of filemgmt? I agree with you completely, Blaine. I don't want to mix scripts, but I want the thing to work, too...

I looked at the faq you recommended, and it really does not have anything to do (apparently) with the problem I'm having. When I load up the index.php for version 1.5, I get a full GL system page, everything else looks fine, but when I hit the filemgmt admin link in the admin section, I get a regular page but the admin functions simply do no appear. The only change I made to make it work was to replace the index.php file from filemgmt from version 1.5 with the one from 1.4, and it works fine. GL is running like a champ.
