Geeklog Forums

I've read the Read Me post in the forum, read the plugin instructions, and searched the forum and am finally posting my call for help. I believe I have the files in the proper locations with the proper permissions, and the option to install Forum appears in my plugins.php page, but when I click the button it results with "the plugin is not installed", with another install button. Clicking that gives me the same page. There are no entries in my error log, and I've run out of brain cells. Help, please!
