Static Pages Help!!

Hello,
Im new to all of this can anyone tell me how to create a static page. A tutorial or summin will do..
And how I place it and all, i want to put it in da header of all pages

Login as admin, or someone with appropriate rights.
Under Admin menu find a link to Staticpages, click on it.
Click on New and Staticpages Editor will appear.
Give it a Title, fill the content, press Save and that is really it.

Login, click on Static Pages in the left column, choose 'Create new', give it a nice Title, choose 'Add to menu', put the title of the menu-link in the 'Label' field, write some great content, Save, Ready!
If the menu-link does not show up, the {menu_elements} or (plg_menu_elements) variable is missing your theme, or is commented out in config.php.

You need to prepare some graphics of your choice and then modify a file called header.thtml which is under layout directory.
