I'm a little noobish working with story things in Geeklog, and this is one of the things I need help on.

Every time I write a story, it doesn't show up on the main page, and I even told it to post to the main page. What do I do?

Thanks in advance to the person who can help m. Very Happy

Things I could think of:
  • You checked the "Draft" option
  • The date of the story is in the future
  • Permissions, e.g. the story or topic is not visible to certain groups of users

Issues with the story date often occur when the webserver is in a different timezone. In that case, search for "timezone hack" for the solution.

bye, Dirk

Thanks.

Also, I see that there are boards integrated into this site. How can you do that?

Installed and all, but the buttons are nowhere to be found... what do I do?

(here's the boards themselves, to see what's wrong with them:

did you actually run the install script?
did you check that lib-portalparts.php made it to your system dir?

don't have a clue.. could be that you are either missing a template file or two, or permissions are such that these files are inaccessible (not likely however).
perhaps try copying all your forum files again.
but, as i said, after having a look around, I don't have a clue.
