Need to improve geeklog performance? Why not try eAccelerator at http://eaccelerator.net
.
From the eAccelerator web site...
eAccelerator is a further development from mmcache PHP Accelerator & Encoder. It increases performance of PHP scripts by caching them in compiled state, so that the overhead of compiling is almost completely eliminated.
My company is currently testing this for our production site with geeklog. So far we have got great results with it in improveing performance on our stageing box. Once we are sure everything is working we expect to use it in production.
We have seen speedups af more than 100% and are getting page load times of under 20 ms. I am verry impresed that this open source project is faster than its comercial equivelent made by Zend (the people who make PHP)
