Problem during installation

Hi guys.
I'm trying to setup this cool forum on two of my webspaces.
I got PHP and MySQL I tried to setup it but doesn't work on two of my spaces. In one the path is

/www/domainname.com/www/preview

(preview is the folder where I'm trying to setup geeklog)

but when I triy to setup I recive the message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ',' in /www/domainname.com/www/preview/config.php on line 594

Fatal error: Failed opening required 'databases/.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /www/domainname.com/www/preview/system/lib-database.php on line 114

if I give as path just: www/preview or only preview/ I recive this:

Geeklog Installation - Error
Geeklog could not find config.php in the path you just entered: www/preview
Please check this path and try again. Remember that you should be using absolute paths, starting at the root of your file system.

What can I do ?

I have the same kind of errors also using another path:

/var/www/html/foldername/

Please help me , I think this forum is really nice ...

David, there are 2 key directories required in your installation, one is where the documents live--you have this one--it's your "www/domainname.com/www/preview" directory.

The other is where your config.php and lots of other files reside, it is NOT a directory seen by your web server, it'd be something like "www/domainname.com/geeklog". Your config.php file should be there. When the php files (from the first directory) that serve the pages execute, they can access these files, but outsiders like me can't directly access them because the web server can't see them directly.

See this: graphical overview.

And before you run the install.php script, be sure to run the check.php script, it'll help reveal problems & if it won't run, neither will install.

Is this information helpful, is that what you're asking for?
