Upgrade from rcX to rcX+1

This is probably a simple question, but I am having trouble upgrading from 1.3.10rc1 to rc2 - what is the correct way to do this? The upgrade database option doesn't work right because there's no option past 1.3.9. Should I select new installation or would that kill my data? As for the files - I'm sure I just copy over everything and adjust permissions as the upgrade/install docs say, right?

No, you don't have to update your database, just replace the files who were changed as discribed in the /docs/changed-files.
