Geeklog Forums

I am using the White Pointer theme and when I clicked on User Functions->Forum Features I got this error message:
Template Error: filename: file /var/www/html/layout/!1_White_Pointer/forum/layout/userprefs/navbar.thtml does not exist.
Halted.

How do I fix this??

there are a number of template files included in the forum tarball. you need to include them in all of your themes per the plugin's install instructions.
if that is the only file you are missing, look for it in the tarball or in another theme's dir and copy it over. all will be well. I have a hunch you'll need to do more than just one file though.

I got someone else to install geeklog +forum on the server (coz I'm very ungeeky) and then I just downloaded White Pointer and copied the entire unzipped folder to the server.

I shall go on a missing file search - unless there is an easier way.

Just out of curiosity - would this have happened if I had uploaded the theme BEFORE the forum plugin??

Yes

Unless you had placed that file into the theme during your forum install as it instructs.
