Deleting Forum Posts?

Hi,

I was wondering about the option to delete forum posts. Why not enable that? If you can edit the post, you can also simply save it with empty content. You might as well have the option of deleting it.

Or am I missing something?

I assume you mean for those who made the post?

I think if such an option were included, it shouldn't allow postings to be deleted once there has been a response to it.

There may also be technical reasons why this isn't possible, but only Blaine can answer that ...

bye, Dirk

I agree Dirk that I felt that users should not delete post once they have been replied to and yeh, they can edit them and remove the contents but the post would remain.

So given that rather narrow situation where you created a post and then there are no replies and you wanted to delete it - I have not added that option. It happens occasionally that a member posts in the wrong forum - they generally then edit and place a note for the moderator.

I don't see it as a big item on the feature needed list and don't see it as a feature on other forums I visit.
