I, along with alot of other users, have an account on most of the prominent GL sites. This list includes squatty.com. And I was surprised to get a SPAM email stating the the 'pay for' glMessenger was available. I am not sure if that just meant I could use it on squatty.com, or if it was a solicitation. What I am sure of is that I *DID NOT* sign up for any list from squatty.com, as it stated. I havent even changed my initial password that was generated by the site, how could I have signed up for anything? If this was a mistake, I guess I can understand. But, as a PREMIER GL site, one which many people visit, special care should be take to ensure this doesn't happen. A definite demarcation of COMMERCIAL and FREE geeklog offerings needs to be defined (I understand the GPL free beer vs. free choice). A specific instance of this is geeklog.ca, which is (or will be) a commercial offering of GL, which could lead to people that visit that site as their first click towards Geeklog to think GL is a commercial offering. I know there are links to the GL.net site, but how many people will see the commercial nature and move on?

Geeklog.ca is only a test site for Knuckles and his themeing. It doesn't metion anything about being a commercial site.

That is for Squatty to handle.

No, it was not a solicitation. I was simply sending out a broadcast message informing squatty.com users that the plugin is available for use on my site. In fact, the broadcast itself made no mention of purchasing the plugin.

For your reference, you can opt out of broadcast messages by logging in and clicking the "Account Information" link. There you will be provided with the option to check the "Block Broadcast Messages" option for your user profile.
In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?

And, being one of the youngest users of this site, I guess I can feel free to say the following:

Chill out man, it's not a big deal.
Are you not entertained?
