I'm trying to make a film site where a user can click a link or click the img in a topic and it opens a quicktime/wmv movie or another html page...
how can i go about doing that?
thanks

You would do it just like when you would add a QuickTime movie to a static HTML page. You will, however, have to add the additional HTML tags ('object' or whatever is needed) to the list of allowable HTML in config.php (otherwise, Geeklog would filter it out when you save the story).

You need to use a plugin called 'Static Pages' that comes with GL in the Admin Only block.
An example can be found here. Click on the TV icon and you should be able to see a session of RealOne video.
Is it what you want to do?
