File Management & Leeching

Hi!
Is it possible to tell the file management to only accept the download if the referrer comes from my domain?

I already have a script that does it, but I want something that is compatible with Geeklog.

I don't believe there is currently anything that does this, but, if you already have a script, I'm sure that you could probably add that functionality yourself. If you get it to work, be sure to post it here!

I've been working on a secure download script and explored using the REFERER variable. It appears to be to easy to spoof and it's the redirecting client or script that has to set it.

Enabling Hotlink Protection on your server will block others from using your server/bandwidth as a fileserver for their site.

Do you mean in the server level?
As in ask my host to do it?

But even if they agree, this hotlink thing still has to rely on
HTTP_REFERER, right?
If so, then I still think it's better to do it via a script and not a whole solution.
