Hiding Navigation Items

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but I couldn\'t find it. How do you hide navigation items. For instance, we aren\'t running any polls, so how do I hide the poll menu item?

just make it inactive in the block admin section. unless you\'re talking about a link to polls that may appear on your theme header or something... in which case all you have to do is edit your theme files (I think it is header.thtml?) and just remove the link.
