Installation did not complete

I finally thought I figured out the install process, but after step 2 of 3 in the install process where it asks for Installation type - New Database and Path to Geeklog C:\\Program Files\\...\\Geeklog. Instead of the final phase of installation, all I get is Warning:mysql_connect():Access denied for user: username@127.0.0.1(Using Password: YES) in C:\\Program Files\\Apache Group\\Apache2\\Geeklog\\System\\Databases\\mysql.class.php on line 104 Cannot connect to DB server. Please help!!! What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance

did you enter the correct database settings in config.php and also the user must have the proper access to the mysql database.
