A Geek Site By Dr Magu

So, after evaluating lotsa CMS candidates, we settled on Geeklog. The site is open for visits. It is still evolving. Eventual emphasis will be on Web Based Business Applications Development using PHP-Apache-MySQL and even Smarty.

In the short term , I am trying to get the site up to snuff, which means a WYSISWYG editor (based upon htmlArea) and a forum. I'll keep you posted on the leading candidates, which is NOT phpBB or GLForum right now.

In any case, take a looksie at "Web Applications Development"

Cheers, Dr Magu

Feedback on why you don't feel GLForum is ready for primetime would be appreciated.---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.

Good ideas on your 'to do' list.
I like the idea of having the html editor built into the story editor and giving users more capability when creating and editing stories. Having polls as part of stories would also be great.

Featured stories on each topic page would be nice.
Another great option would be the ability to order the articles on a page.
Someone else is working on a newletter plugin that you might like:
