Understanding groups and permissions

Can someone direct me to a resource that explains the concepts of core groups, user-defined groups, and permissions? Unfortunately I am having a lot of trouble understanding how these things work in Geeklog and how to apply them. JJ

Have you tried searching for "groups"? There are quite a few stories on that topic, e.g. this one.
