You have the right idea. Set the config option to not display IP as well.

I've made the modifications to cb_chatlog and you can download the modified version here

Thanks dude.. BTW, somehow I screwed up the whole ChatterBlock and I can't uninstall it (via the web)so that I can reinstall it fresh. Would you mind sharing with me what the Hack is to remove everything so that I can reinstall it from scratch? Thanks again Blaine... Cheers, Thedude

Blaine. Here is something strange. After reinstalling the chatterblock, when I disable anonymous access to chatterblock and make chatterblock only shown in the homepage, it disable chatterblock for the rest of the user with registered user feature comment and it still shown chatterblock in the mainpage with registered user feature comment. Is this suppose to happen this way? Please advise. Thanks B. Cheers, Thedude

BTW Blaine.. For some reason I can't see the IP icon even if I logged in as admin. Not sure why. Hmmm???? Comment? Thanks.. The Dude

i made the above changes (using the file provided) and it also does not work for me.

actually i'd rather it just knock off the last octet of the IP. that way the poster is still 'safe' and i can still figure out what i might be looking for in the logs.

even though the time stamp works just as well.

i just noticed this, but with the new file in place, i can't access my chatterlog. i noticed the error this morning, and at the time wasn't thinking, noticed i had a backup of the file (cb_chatlog) so i just restored that file. later it dawned on me i probably should of paid attention to the error message. something about.. line 24. and. mmm... thats all i can remember. sorry.
