1030: Got error 28 from table handler

I posted a story, however instead of posting it it gave me this error: 1030: Got error 28 from table handler Since then, if I go to the main page of my website, I get that error. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes its there. Users who aren't logged in don't seem to get it. Any ideas? Error.log isn't showing anything.

I've found out a bit more. I only get the error if the Whats New block is showing.

As usual, Google is your friend.

Apparently, it simply means your out of disk space ...

bye, Dirk

That's what I thought initially after doing my own quick Google search. However I discussed it as the problem was happening with my hosting provider - and he checked all the disk space and server status, and none of them were at fault from what he could tell.

I did look in my error log and noticed this:

Wed Jan 28 15:22:29 2004 - 1030: Got error 28 from table handler SQL in question:
SELECT * FROM quote
ORDER BY RAND()
LIMIT 1

I have the randomeQuote block on my site and it seems to be the offender. It still doesn't explain why it only happens intermittently.
